Sammy and Sandy Sand Hill Crane reside in my neighborhood and frequently stop to snack at my back yard bird feeders and drink at my bird bath. They provide much enjoyment for the walkers on the adjacent walk path. They were area residents before the neighborhood was developed and have refused to relinquish their native habitat to human civilization.

I started painting over 40 years ago as a hobby, an extension of my childhood interest in art which was my favorite subject in grade school. Painting was and still is my method of expressing my love of nature and the environment. Later on, it became a method to convey a message.through original poems combined with my paintings. I aim to capture the eye with color and soothe the soul with an atmosphere of ethereal tranquility. I hope to achieve an overall effect of harmony and co-existence between nature and mankind with a subtle implication of the greater cosmos.
